Moonstone Beach

Moonstone Beach Summary

She’s a divorcee who’s still struggling to recover. He’s notorious for his reckless ways with women. What could possibly go wrong?

Kate Bennet owns a small bookstore in the breathtaking Central Coast town of Cambria, California. Two years out from a divorce that left her emotionally fragile, she’s starting to think that maybe she’s ready for love again—or at least for a fling with a hot man. Jackson Graham is a local chef who’s controlling when it comes to food, careless when it comes to love, and temperamental when it comes to just about everything.

When Kate’s friends set things up between Kate and Jackson, she expects some casual pleasure followed by a hasty goodbye, but Jackson’s long-term crush on Kate means that he’s in this one to win. The problem is, neither he nor Kate knows whether he can change the self-defeating habits that usually send women scurrying for the door.

MOONSTONE BEACH is the first book in the Main Street Merchants series by Linda Seed. Read the novel readers have called “funny,” “delightful,” and “captivating.”

Well the majority of this book was pretty good - which is why I gave it a 4. Some parts of it I had me rolling my eyes - and then all of a sudden the end of this book appears….what ? Didn’t like how this ending happened…at all… no thought to close it out…45

I stopped reading this book because no one would ever invite a stranger and his ex wife to dine and spend the night in there home. And sleep in there bed. My eyes are still rolling. No, just no. Sorry, maybe it won’t seam so goofy to other readers. Good luck.25

Humorous, clever. Characters well-developed. Dialogue was natural, believable. A mature and intelligent book.55

This book was simultaneously too long and too short. The ending seemed rushed, but there were also a lot of unnecessary descriptions. I found myself skipping to dialogue because everything else was so uninteresting. I skimmed the latter 1/4 of the book.35

Liked it but sort of a cliffhanger3 star

Enjoyed the book but had a rushed ending leaving me with lots of questions. I suspect this is intentional so you'll move on to the next book in the series. This was a good fast read but seriously needed an epilogue. A lot was left unresolved.35
