Willa Doon has always been shy. Her quiet demeanor was something she’s always embraced. That is, until Jackson Page moves to town. The one man she desperately wants to take notice struggles to remember her name.
Year after year, Willa stands by, watching as the bartender slash playboy drowns his demons in beer and sex. Then one night, he shows up at her door, suddenly aware that the girl he’s seen around Lark Cove is now a beautiful woman.
Except what he doesn’t remember is that this visit isn’t his first. They spent a night together once before. A night he’s forgotten, thanks to a bottle of tequila.
A night that crushed a timid girl’s heart, and set a broken man on the path to heal them both.
Loved this book! At one point I thought I was going to have to put it down because i was so disappointed with Jackson but thankfully the author took the story in another direction and it was perfect!55
I debated at the beginning where this story was headed. However, once I was a little way into it I couldn’t put it down. Betrayal, long standing attraction, and then good things begin to happen. Romance and great love through thick and thin.55
A good love story that had some good twists that weren’t based solely on the couple breaking up only to come back together55
Boy, there is so much thrown into this story: abandonment, foster care, unknown half brother, romance, murder, etc. It was a good story, if a little busy.45
I love this series.55
It was okay. Nothing spectacular to be honest.35
This book is not only a cliff hanging roller coaster but is a heart warming romance. This book is now one of my favorites, highly recommend.55
It comes rarely that I admire the girl but Akh I loved Willa I loved her calm personality how she dealt with everything! A lovely book really !55
5 stars for this beautiful story! Willa has been in love with Jackson for years and years. “Jackson and Willa. Willa and Jackson. Our names went together like peanut butter and jelly.” She just needs to get him to notice her. Jackson is a broken soul, drowning his sorrows in all the wrong things. A sweet girl like Willa isn’t even on his radar. But one night with stolen kisses changes everything…at least for Willa. Jackson doesn’t even remember what was the best night of Willa’s life. I loved Jackson from the very beginning. He gave off total bad boy vibes who didn’t care what the world thought. And you knew he had demons. Who doesn’t love a bad boy? Willa was sweet and shy, not ever standing up for herself. But when Jackson forgot all about their amazing night under the stars, Willa had enough. I was cheering so loud when she finally stood up for herself! “Do you have any idea how long I’d been waiting for you to notice me? How many times I’d walked into the bar and wished you’d finally just see me? Then you did and I was so happy. And then you forgot.” Reading their story play out was wonderful and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. They both had problems, and they both needed each other. “I think what’s important is finding a person who makes you better.”55
