This Newbery Honor winner and #1 New York Times bestseller is a beloved modern classic. Hoot features a new kid and his new bully, alligators, some burrowing owls, a renegade eco-avenger, and several extremely poisonous snakes.
Everybody loves Mother Paula's pancakes. Everybody, that is, except the colony of cute but endangered owls that live on the building site of the new restaurant. Can the awkward new kid and his feral friend prank the pancake people out of town? Or is the owls' fate cemented in pancake batter?
Welcome to Carl Hiaasen's Florida—where the creatures are wild and the people are wilder!

I was assigned to read a book for school and after reading some other books by this author, I chose this one. And I did not regret it. Amazing book55
Simply amazing the book had a mixture of mystery adventure and sorrowful events55
I was assigned this at school and finished it in one day because it is so awesome!55
I really enjoyed the book, great children’s book for summer reading/ school assignment55
I was forced to read this for the summer, and it was hell. Very poorly written, terrible humor, crappy story. Awful book. Never buy.15
I found this book a bit boring25
The beginning sort of baits you into reading but then it gets very stale and boring to read for over 300 pages. Just my opinion.15
It’s sorta a hoot, I mean it was good in the beginning, but it was not very good in the middle, and I did not quite understand the concept in the middle, but good beginning overall. I am presently reading Scat, and it is good so far I cannot wait to read more!!!!!!😀😃😀😁🙂45
I love this book cause it teaches the laws55
