Damaged Like Us

Damaged Like Us Summary

Don’t date your bodyguard.
It was the one rule he had to break.

Maximoff Hale is a force of nature. A ship unwilling to be steered. Headstrong, resilient, and wholly responsible — the twenty-two-year-old alpha billionaire can handle his unconventional life. By noon, lunch can turn into a mob of screaming fans. By two, his face is all over the internet.

Born into one of the most famous families in the country, his celebrity status began at birth.

He is certified American royalty.

When he’s assigned a new 24/7 bodyguard, he comes face-to-face with the worst case scenario: being attached to the tattooed, MMA-trained, Yale graduate who’s known for “going rogue” in the security team — and who fills 1/3 of Maximoff's sexual fantasies.

Twenty-seven-year-old Farrow Keene has one job: protect Maximoff Hale. Flirting, dating, and hot sex falls far, far out of the boundary of his bodyguard duties and into “termination” territory. But when feelings surface, protecting the sexy-as-sin, stubborn celebrity becomes increasingly complicated.

Together, boundaries blur, and being exposed could mean catastrophic consequences for both.

This was so good! I took a long break from lgbt books and romance books because I was so tired of the same problematic tropes and this book renewed my faith in authors of both lgbt and romance.55

Amazing,,,5 star

This book was so good, I loved every moment of it. I can’t wait to read about the rest of their relationship and the family! So much detail but it feels like I’m going through everything with them. Such a well written book series, fan for life!55

Excellent5 star

I applaud the author first and foremost for writing a romantic novel based on two gay men. It was heartfelt, real and gave me so many feels. You could feel the love between Maxamoff and Zarrow even from the beginning. They really do love each other with everything they’ve got. Soo goooood!!!55

Bad1 star

The book could’ve been executed better. The book summary should’ve said that it was contemporary and homosexual. The book was way too long! The characters were dry and didn’t have great chemistry. The authors didn’t really get my attention with the characters.15

Wow! Awesome follow up!5 star

I ship these two so hard. Looooved the resolution between certain characters hehe ;)55

Great start to the series5 star

This is a fantastic continuation of the Addicted and Calloway sisters series. It answers questions you had about how those characters evolved, while incorporating new characters in seamlessly. You grow attached to everyone in the books and become interested in what’s next and curious about what’s in between. Recommended highly.55

do your heart a favor and fall in love with Maximoff and Farrow.55
