Four-time New York Times bestselling author Gary Vaynerchuk offers new lessons and inspiration drawn from the experiences of dozens of influencers and entrepreneurs who rejected the predictable corporate path in favor of pursuing their dreams by building thriving businesses and extraordinary personal brands.
In his 2009 international bestseller Crush It, Gary insisted that a vibrant personal brand was crucial to entrepreneurial success, In Crushing It!, Gary explains why that’s even more true today, offering his unique perspective on what has changed and what principles remain timeless. He also shares stories from other entrepreneurs who have grown wealthier—and not just financially—than they ever imagined possible by following Crush It principles. The secret to their success (and Gary’s) has everything to do with their understanding of the social media platforms, and their willingness to do whatever it took to make these tools work to their utmost potential. That’s what Crushing It! teaches readers to do.
In this lively, practical, and inspiring book, Gary dissects every current major social media platform so that anyone, from a plumber to a professional ice skater, will know exactly how to amplify his or her personal brand on each. He offers both theoretical and tactical advice on how to become the biggest thing on old standbys like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat; podcast platforms like Spotify, Soundcloud, iHeartRadio, and iTunes; and other emerging platforms such as Musical.ly. For those with more experience, Crushing It! illuminates some little-known nuances and provides innovative tips and clever tweaks proven to enhance more common tried-and-true strategies.
Crushing It! is a state-of-the-art guide to building your own path to professional and financial success, but it’s not about getting rich. It’s a blueprint to living life on your own terms.
Gary, we wanted YOUR advice and stories. Not all these random other people stuffed in the pages. Disappointed and much less inspired than after reading Crush It!35
This book is very inspiring. Not to mention, very easy to read.35
Don’t like him or his way of delivering his self”help” rants15
One of the greatest reads ever on making the nearly impossible very possible!!!55
First of all, what I really liked about this book is that you can find everything for free on Gary’s website. Why buy or find this book? He lists everything in detail and gave some examples of how people who used the methods that he shared in his book CRUSH IT worked exceptionally well. I bet his next book will be about how people who used crushing it methods and about new techniques on new technology. Thanks Gary55
If you haven’t read this definitely worth the read. It includes tons of great/motivational stories. The book cuts a lot of bull crap and tells you the truth.55
It’s was ok, good not great. A bit over rated actually. To many hypothetical scenarios story telling that drag on way to long. What if....A couple, takes up dancing, but is over weight, then starts exercising, then makes a YouTube videos, then gives advice, then strengthens their marriage, then gets picked up by a TV station, then invents dance moves, then becomes millionaires etc etc etc. Lots of story telling that “could” happen... On top of that the real life success story’s that actually happened, read by the person it happened to, kept reading in 3rd person then going back and forth referring to themselves in the first person, 2nd and 3rd person, got annoying.15
Gary gives out real world advice for up and coming entrepreneurs to use if only we are ready to put in the Work to make it!!!55
I saw Gary speak at the Remax R4 event last month. I really liked him so I thought I would pick up his book. It started off great but then about half way through there was the f word 4 times in the span of about 20 pages. I stopped reading and unfortunately won’t finish it. To each their own but cussing in a learning environment is super distracting for me.25
Love this. He breaks all types of social media down for you so you will know how to approach it and stop making excuses for yourself!55
