Janet Lansbury is unique among parenting experts. As a RIE teacher and student of pioneering child specialist Magda Gerber, her advice is not based solely on formal studies and the research of others, but also on her twenty years of hands-on experience guiding hundreds of parents and their toddlers.
"No Bad Kids" is a collection of Janet's most popular and widely read articles pertaining to common toddler behaviors and how respectful parenting practices can be applied to benefit both parents and children. It covers such common topics as punishment, cooperation, boundaries, testing, tantrums, hitting, and more. "No Bad Kids" provides a practical, indispensable tool for parents who are anticipating or experiencing those critical years when toddlers are developmentally obliged to test the limits of our patience and love. Armed with knowledge and a clearer sense of the world through our children's eyes, this period of uncertainty can afford a myriad of opportunities to forge unbreakable bonds of trust and respect.
No doubts the methods work. Of course methods very between families and no one gets it all right all the time, but I had so many wonderful take always. Gentle leaders. Unruffled. Clear and direct. Follow through. Different verbiage to use and get through to your littles. All wonderful recommendations - things I knew at one point but have lost in the last few years of motherhood. I needed the reminder and this was exactly the book I needed. I’ve already observed changes in my toddlers.45
A wonderful read with clear, concise, and actionable steps. Very much appreciated actual phrases and language that we can use right away with our child. 10/10 recommend to all parents.55

We all strive to be better at our jobs, hobbies, and get self help books to create a lifestyle and habit to accomplish these goals. My most important thing, with my 2 year old son and soon coming baby girl, is to raise my kids. This book is amazing, common sense that we don't use but works every time, and as my Dad would say, a way " to do the job right the first time". Thank you Janet & Magda!55
