Beauty and the Beastmeets Taming of the Shrew in this laugh-out-loud and heartfelt Regency romance.
Lord Nathaniel Harte, the disagreeable Duke of Beswick, spends his days smashing porcelain, antagonizing his servants, and snarling at anyone who gets too close. With a ruined face like his, it's hard to like much about the world. Especially smart-mouthed harpies—with lips better suited to kissing than speaking—who brave his castle with indecent proposals.
But Lady Astrid Everleigh will stop at nothing to see her younger sister safe from a notorious scoundrel, even if it means offering herself up on a silver platter to the forbidding Beast of Beswick himself. And by offer, she means what no highborn lady of sound and sensible mind would ever dream of—a tender of marriage with her as his bride.
Each book in the Regency Rogues series is STANDALONE:
* The Beast of Beswick
* The Rakehell of Roth
I tried to finish this book because I’ve always enjoyed Beauty and the Beast themed romance books but this author filled way too much of the book with useless filler words. I feel cheated when authors do this it’s almost like they get paid per word and the goal is to cash in by repeating themselves. It’s one of those books that you have to scan many pages just searching for the “quotation” marks. Why do people do this?25
Seductive, entertaining, and funny55
I fell in love with the characters and the story! Good book to read!55
I was very unsure about starting this book, because I don’t usually read historical romance books. Boy did this book hook me with the strong protagonist and an awesome rising love story. I recommend it!55
I LOVED this book. The H &H were well developed and the way the love built between them was gorgeous. It was passionate and steamy. Do yourself a favor and read this book. Off to download the next story from this author.55
This book was great, the plot kept my attention and I loved the length of the story. She included all the details I would want in a story. Definitely on my list of favorite books that I would consider re-reading I enjoyed it so much.55
4/5 🦄 This book was hottttt 🔥Lady Astrid suffers from a ruined reputation started by a man she rejected during her first season. Now that he has returned, this time seeking the hand of her 16 year old sister, she seeks the protection and guardianship of the so-called Beast of Beswick, a man flayed with bayoneted after a deserter left his men exposed in battle leaving him scarred brutally. When it becomes clear that the reputation-ruined and the deserter are the same man, The Beast commits to what he never thought he’d do—marriage! This book was very spicy! The Beast aka Thane is a dirty dirty man but oh so charming! Lady Astrid is loyal and fierce when it comes to those she loves. Together they make a great team and have chemistry off the charts. This book is is filthy—absolutely filthy, I say! There is a heavy emphasis on feminism and double standards at the time. So if you love sexy books with feminist leanings, this is the book for you! It might be a little heavy handed in both areas, but still super fun and enjoyable! Gotta love a beauty and the beast romance!45
Just Lovely!!!! “Love is one part courage, one part choice, and one part luck. And like anything worth fighting for, it’s worth it in the end.”45
It was a good book that kept me intrigued.35
Mediocre at best. Sexist. Uninteresting. I won’t read more from this author.25
