The award-winning author of To Wed aHighlander “takes us on a very sensual romp back to the 14th-century Scottish Highlands” (Book Junkie, 5 out of 5 stars).
Seven McTiernay brothers, each a highlander born to protect Scotland and her people, warriors known for their quick wits and quicker broadswords. The third brother, Cole, stared death in the face when he was only a boy . . .
Now Cole McTiernay is a man. And though he resists them in every way, he has responsibilities. The wild northern Highlands need a laird who can guide them to peace. Cole has the army strong enough to accomplish this task. What he doesn’t have is the desire—to be a leader among men.
And so he is sent off on a fool’s errand: a mission to retrieve something from the very Englishmen Cole has spent his life hating. When he finds that the “something” is a wild hellion, he balks, determined to make the return to Scotland as hard on her as it was for him to set foot on English soil. But though English herself, Ellenor Howell intrigues him with her fierce spirit, and Cole’s heart, deeply locked away for so long, may be vulnerable at last . . .
“An extremely engaging historical romance . . . quite amusing, a bit charming, and a thoroughly enjoyable read.”—Fresh Fiction
“Once again Sinclair demonstrates her ability to touch [fans’] minds and hearts, keeping them enthralled. Her deft handling of her characters’ emotional evolution, backed by her talent for presenting them in a plot that’s both witty and sensual, is captivating.”—RT Book Reviews
I loved this Highlander series!!! Strong characters, good story line, hot love scenes, these books have it all! And I love hearing about the characters from a previous book:)))))))) Really liked these books though the last book in the series was a little weaker they were still all a great read.55
This includes some satisfying love scenes. However, the female protagonist expresses some important self evolution regarding post traumatic stress syndrome and attempted rape. The male protagonist makes an interesting journey of his own too! Good read; good work. Nice diversion!55
Book 3 has been the best story so far. The personality on each adventure, and conclusion had me on the edge. I loved this series, I the writer has me intrigue and interested in the next work. II was so into this book and the adventure, as if I was there.55
