Shoes to Fill

Shoes to Fill Summary

Lay your head down and rest.
Those blisters hurt, don’t they?
“But they’re so beautiful. How could they make me bleed?”
She said faintly.
I pulled her hair back
And tucked it behind her ears.
“I know . . .
But it is time for you to heal now.

Shoes to Fill is a collection of poetry about breaking and becoming through love and loss. Every page is hopefully giving a voice to the voiceless and teaching people that sometimes even silence is the best form of healing. We must walk miles in other’s shoes to understand their pain.
