Girl, Wash Your Face

Girl, Wash Your Face Summary

Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don’t have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that’s a lie.

As the founder of the lifestyle website and CEO of her own media company, Rachel Hollis developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.

With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.

With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity, Girl, Wash Your Face shows you how to live with passion and hustle--and how to give yourself grace without giving up.

Book Reviews

Very good read5 star

I really enjoyed this book. It gives you an insight of Rachel’s life and helps you apply life principles to your own daily struggles. I love that she is a Christian and writes about God in this as well. Although I know not everyone has these beliefs, being a Christian myself it was a strong correlation to my life.55

Life Changing!5 star

As someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression, and someone who puts everything in life before her own well being this book has shifted all aspects of my life. It sparked a change in my attitude, and the way I think about things. It has changed my motivation, reminding me not to depend on anyone else for my success or happiness. And it has made me realize that I’m not alone in feeling the way I have felt in many aspects of life. An easy read that will truly change your life, if you let it!55

Stopped after page 401 star

I had to stop. I normally try to finish a book. I couldn’t.15

Horrible1 star

She’s way to mentally unstable to be writing a self help book. Almost seems like she’s bragging about how hard she works. It would be nice if readers knew in advance if see was going to go on and on about god and scriptures.15

LOVE!!!5 star

I seriously can’t say enough good things about this book. I never read and I read this book in 5 evenings. First page and I was hooked. Totally relatable and gave me so much power and motivation. I will definitely be reading more of Rachel’s books!!55
