I was immersed in Honolulu of my youth as young Marine from Kaneohe. This story was great. I could feel the bruises Sophie had, feel the texture of the mottled skin. The ending was abrupt. Need to grab the second one now.55
Good suspenseful thriller - a page turner with plenty of action45

Interesting story and strong female character Sophie is intriguing!45
I'm so happy excited to see that Toby Neal has taken one of my favorite Lei Crime characters and written a new series (Paradise Crime) about her. Wired In is the first novel in this series and I'm excited for future installments. Sophie Ang doesn't always but is a great detective. I love how this series focuses on one of her major skills, technology. Wired In demonstrates the versatility of Neal as a writer. A must read!55
Best read in a long time. Intelligent writing, well-developed characters, and intriguing plot. What's next? Hope the next book is out soon.55
Wired In (A Paradise Crime Novel) by Toby Neal is the first book in Toby’s new series about FBI Special Agent Sophie Ang, her life and her adventures. We previously met Sophie in the Lei Crime series where she often works the tech aspects behind the scenes. In Wired In, we find Sophie involved in the field right from page 1 as she works a child kidnapping case in Honolulu. Things become complicated and convoluted as she delves into cyberspace to figure out how various events are connected. Sophie and the security company that she winds up investigating use some very interesting high tech gadgets to do their work, which is quite fascinating. Again, Toby has done a lot of research to make these details plausible! This book is a fascinating, fast-paced, suspenseful read—always keeping the reader on the edge of the seat. Of course, there is a romance aspect to it as Sophie begins to heal after some of the events in her past. I am so happy to get to know more about Sophie and her relationship with FBI Agent Marcella Scott and Marcella’s fiancé, Detective Marcus Kamuela. Other characters from past Lei Crime Series books show up throughout the book, but Toby provides plenty of background information so that it is not necessary to have read the other books—but you may want to! I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.55
