Bewitched meets Murder She Wrote.
Amelia Spelled believes in baking it til you make it . . . But when her boyfriend dumps her, her boss fires her, and she's evicted from her rental thanks to one too many cooking mishaps, Amelia finds herself all dressed up with nowhere to dough. Amelia is just about ready to pie for help when a handwritten letter is slipped under her door.
Now she is off to country Australia, where a mysterious house is not the only thing that awaits -- there is also the revelation that her ancestors were witches.
But if Amelia thinks she'll have time to process these new developments, she's dead wrong. There is a murder, and she's the number one suspect.
Will Amelia cook up a way to solve the crime? And just what -- or who -- does the dashing man lurking in the shadows want?
Book 1 in a charming and delightful cozy mystery series from USA Today Bestselling and multiple All Star author, Morgana Best.
Miss Spelled is the first book in an Aussie Series by Morgana Best. Amelia Spelled is dumped by her boyfriend, loses her job and then gets evicted from her apartment. What else could go wrong? Next Amelia knows, she receives a letter telling her that her aunt has passed and she needs to show up for the funeral and reading of the will. Amelia is in for a lot of big surprises and the worst of it is a murder occurs right in front of her. This is such a fun, fast easy read. I absolutely loved this story and plan on reading the rest of the books in the series!55
Miss Spelled is the First Book in the Kitchen Witch Book Series by Morgana Best. I LOVED this book. Amelia Spelled has fallen on some bad luck! She has just broken up with her boyfriend, lost her job and evicted from her apartment all in one day! Her aunt passed away and she inherited a bakery but she cannot bake, I mean she can barely boil water! She moves into her Aunt's house which has some secrets of its own. When a man dies after eating something Amelia baked she has to investigate as she's the prime suspect! The characters are so much fun and well developed. The story is well written and I laughed out loud on more than one occasion. A great start to an amazing series.55
