The Crusades: From Beginning to End

The Crusades: From Beginning to End Summary

The Crusades
Much has been written and much has been omitted when it comes to the Crusades; especially in modern parlance. Many talking heads in recent times have conjured up the specter of the Crusades as if it should be a source of great shame and disgust for Western Civilization. And with even President Obama drawing odd parallels in light of the beheadings of ISIS; many are wondering once again what all of this "Crusades talk" is all about.

Inside you will read about...
✓ Backing Up Byzantium
✓ All Out Holy War
✓ The Kingdom of Heaven
✓ The King's Crusade
✓ The Self-Defeating Crusade
✓ The Final Crusades
✓ The Post-Crusade World

The Crusades took place over a thousand years ago, and yet we currently live in a modern day world of unspeakable terror. Islamic extremists are disrupting the entire planet, murdering, raping and enslaving everyone they encounter. Committing brutalities on a scale that rivals some of the worst abuses of the dark ages and yet people still point to the Crusades as if it is supposed to mean something. Ok, that's fine. If detractors wish to point their finger and call out history, let's find the truth, and let's find out what really happened.

If I could give it negative 2 stars I would1 star

Simply awful, no historical or factual basis. Surprised Apple even gave this a virtual shelf to live on15

Not good1 star

When a writer choses to inject his own awful opinions over history and what actually happened I would rather not read on. History should be matter of fact never opinion.15

Not impressed1 star

I’m not sure how someone can refer to these Christians fundamentalists that butchered their Jewish neighbors in a better light than the ottomans who happily welcomed the Jews after they were expelled from Spain, the writer conveniently excluded from his book the massacres that the crusaders committed in German and French Jewish communities, then he claims that these crusaders helped democracy.15

This guy is just a Mormon racist.1 star

Come on pal grow up and write something actually informative. You’re just full of weird hate.15

Islamophobia meets history....history loses!1 star

Totally ignorant of the pogroms that were waged across Europe on the way to the “Holy Land.” Jews, Gypsy’s, and all non-Christians were slaughtered in great numbers. Shame on this “author” for promoting an intolerant and racist “history”.15

Recommend this book5 star

A very nice read. Not too long, not too short, and it tells you what you need and want to know.55

This book’s view in crusade is biased.1 star

No clear evidence is provided supporting the topic or argument. I would not recommend reading this book.15

Ill informed horrible author1 star

This author knows nothing about the crusades, he is obviously a hate-filled individual with an agenda against Islam. Do not read or entertain.15

Blames Muslims1 star

I just started reading this book and I already see that it is problematic. The author is trying to portray the Muslims as evil, uncivilized creatures. People today still believe this nonsense about Muslims. I would also like to point out that the European Christians were also colonizing areas and forcing them to practice English. This is exactly what the Muslims were doing, so it is frustrating that the author is placing the blame on just one group of people even though they both committed crimes.15

Charles XII

Terrible1 star

The author has added more historical misconceptions into a subject that already has many.15
