Excellent5 star

Wrath and Wing is a prequel to the Ena of Ilbrea series, in the book we see more of Ena’s smarts and determination. In this story you see in true Ena fashion, her having to choose again to do what is right and just running away. She is such a strong character, someone you want fighting on your side. Although this prequel is on the shorter side, it rally adds more depth to the characters.55

Beautiful read so far5 star

I am on chapter 6 and loving it so far. The detail in the story is not to much but just right. Makes feel like I’m under the floor board of that wagon lol55

Prequel5 star

I realized after I started the Ena of Ilbrea series that this was a prequel. I expected to read about how Ena came to be with Lilly and how her parents died. Why her world is the way it is. But Ena finds herself in a desperate situation and figures out a way to help others as she makes her way out of it. While looking for her brother, she comes across a group of kids being held by the sorcerer. One just happens to be around her age and I can’t help but wonder if this is the original meet cute for a future character we see in Ember & Stone. It’s not a bad start but I don’t think I’ve gained anymore knowledge having read it that couldn’t have been accomplished with a flashback montage.55
