From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Share Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

From the first page to the last, you’ll continue to read this book until you are finished.55
Keeps you guessing45
I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews but this was a very good book. I enjoyed the story and was surprised by the ending. Thought I had figured out who did it (had two choices) but wasn’t either person I thought. Even thinking I knew the answer to who done it the story was still interesting and creepy like a thriller should be. Some of the other reviews seem alittle nit-picky to me, and over analyzed, read the story and if you enjoy thrillers you will enjoy this book. If you don’t like abusive or unsettling situations then maybe you shouldn’t be reading thrillers. I’ve read other thrillers with much more nasty and descriptive situations than this one and I think that is the nature of the story. Something nasty is happening and someone’s got to figure it out. Overall, a very very good book, hard to put down55
