The Swift Programming Language (Swift 5.7)

The Swift Programming Language (Swift 5.7) Summary

Swift is a programming language for creating iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS apps. Swift builds on the best of C and Objective-C, without the constraints of C compatibility. Swift adopts safe programming patterns and adds modern features to make programming easier, more flexible, and more fun. Swift’s clean slate, backed by the mature and much-loved Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks, is an opportunity to reimagine how software development works.

This book provides:
- A tour of the language.
- A detailed guide delving into each language feature.
- A formal reference for the language.

Trade Secrets

Why did this selection get downloaded from Safari?1 star

Nonsense! I must of accidentally from Safari looking for a PDF document related to the Dominican Religious Order and this document of over 1,000 pages was downloaded to MyBooks. I tried to delete from my iPhone and it went into my iCloud account and then shows up as “BUY” on my MyBooks. Trying to delete it is showing up as a ghost in my iCloud account! I am accusing this nonsense to a conspiracy by Apple! Get this crap out of my life!15

Basic Knowledge Required3 star

Written by someone extremely knowledgeable about Swift. But not knowledgeable about how to convey that knowledge to someone who knows nothing about Swift. F or instance, what does “(_:_:)” mean, or stand for? I want to learn, not be impressed.35
