Sometimes it feels so damn good to be bad
Photographer Wyatt Royce’s career is on the verge of exploding. All he needs is one perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy, controversial show. Find her, and Wyatt is sure to have a winner.
Then Kelsey Draper walks in. Stunning. Vibrant. And far too fragile for a project like this. Wyatt should know—after all, he remembers only too well how their relationship ended all those years ago.
Desperate for cash and frustrated with her good girl persona, Kelsey sets her sights on Wyatt’s show. But only the show. Because she knows too well that Wyatt Royce is a danger to her heart.
But when Wyatt agrees to give her the job only if he has complete control—on camera and in his bed—Kelsey can’t help but wonder if she’s in too deep. Because how can a good girl like her ever be enough for a man like Wyatt?
All Wicked novels stand alone.
Loved these two characters that even 12 tears apart were destined to be together. Be stronger together than single. When it’s true love it’s worth the wait.55
He’s a tough guy to trust and love but.... fun story45
It dragged the first 700 pages then started to pick up. Then, it got really choppy.45
I was a bit disappointed in the ending. I thought this was a series. Guess not. I'm mostly bothered by Kelsey's employment with the school. What happened to that? There were lots in characters in this book. I liked how everyone played a role. I enjoyed the journey between Wyatt and Kelsey.45
Awesome love story totally hot and erotic couldn’t put it down. 2 different lives but the same a must read55
J. Kenner introduced us to the Stark books, and now she is opening it up into Stark World with Wicked Grind. I love that Wyatt gets his story heard. If you have read any of the Stark books previously with Nikki and Damien, you will remember Wyatt as Nikki's hot photographer friend. We all knew that he had some skeletons from the past, but never got into much of it until now! Wyatt is ready. He is ready to put himself out there without his family name. That is until Kelsey walks into his studio to audition to be a model in his story that has been years in the making. I love that Cass and Siobhan are more involved in this story. I love that J. Kenner gives us glimpses of previous characters, but also makes sure they do not take the spotlight away from Wyatt and Kelsey. Wicked Grind will take this second chance romance to new heights. There was some missing links from the past that will now make sense in the present. Wyatt has always been a catch, but we see a new side of him. It is time for him to shine. Not just in the sense of the story line, but just in general. You will love the wicked sexy scenes, and see the beauty in a woman's form. I loved Wicked Grind and so excited to explore Stark World a little bit more.55
What a great second-chance love story!! I'm a sucker for them! Kelsey & Wyatt fell in love as teenagers, only to be ripped apart by tragedy. Crossing paths again over a decade later, both in desperate, yet different situations, they undoubtedly need each other. They are each a means to the other's end. But hurts from the past and the lingering anger probably make working together a bad idea. Or is it? Can misunderstandings be explained? Can they let dow the walls they've built? After all those yeares, the pull is strong between them. Should they ignor it or embrace it? Loved this story and can't wait to see what's next!55
Wicked Grind By: J. Kenner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K Wicked Grind is a second chance romance that collides past with present, heartache with heartfelt, and sex with love… Sometimes a second chance is all it takes to paint the perfect picture, or tear down perfectly constructed walls… Wyatt Royce is an up and coming photographer in the art world, and is preparing a show that could completely knock the world off it’s axis. He has just a few weeks to prepare the final piece…the climax…the masterpiece…but his muse is no where to be found. The “it girl” he so desperately needs hasn’t shown her beautiful face yet, and he is running out of time. Kelsey Draper is in desperate need of a job. When a friend offers her a shot at a modeling contract with a local photographer, Kelsey jumped at the chance. Sweet Kelsey Draper is as innocent as the day is long, but when she walks into the studio for the audition, the past greets her with stunning clarity as the boy she once loved stands before her…all grown up, and just as gorgeous as she remembered. Wyatt is confronted with his past, his muse, and his pain when the girl he once loved walks into his studio. Past meets present as secrets are brought to light, and past hurts color the relationships of the present. Both Wyatt and Kelsey hold pieces of a puzzle that when put together will reveal the secrets of their past and the possibilities for their future. So, lets start at the top: The cover of Wicked Grind is HOT. The black, white, and red theme is stunning, and portrays the core of the storyline perfectly. The blurb gives you just enough of a taste to lure you in, and make you want more. The character development is amazing. I fell in love with both Wyatt and Kelsey from their first interaction. Kelsey is so pure of heart, innocent, and kind. Her love for her brother, and her sheltered upbringing color her every move. Wyatt is strong, but holds a genuine and soft heart within himself, and a strong desire to make his own way in the world. Both characters are damaged in their own way, with skeletons in their closet that altered their worlds. Each one of their secrets, their skeletons, their scars, bound them together and made them so much more real. The plot and storyline were not unique within the genre, but unique in their details and execution. It was sexy, sensual, emotional, and fun. J. Kenner wove emotion and pain together within the story, making the reader fell everything. Definitely another home run for J. Kenner, and a wonderful beginning to a new series! Kristie K.55
I absolutely, love this book. I love the way how the past was brought into the story and continued while telling the present. I was perfectly done. Not only that, but Wyatt and Kelsey are amazing together. It's just sad how her dad took his anger out on her for what her mother did to him. Most of all I'm glad Wyatt was their to bring her out of the darkness and into the light so she can expand her horizon. In return she taught him that not everyone is out to get something from you due to you being famous, rich or knowing a celebrity. In the end they were able to breakaway on their own terms and find their way to each other and made a name for themselves.55
Omg! This was the book I didn't even know I was waiting for! While Wyatt has been a secondary, or even tertiary, character so far I loved reading about his story and childhood. While this seems to be strictly a standalone, I hope we get more info on these two in the future. So many questions! What happened with Griffin? Are him and Nia ever going to be a thing? What happened when Kelsey's dad found out??? I neeeeeeed answers lol!55
