Couldn't even finish. Obviously written with preteens in mind.15

Good book for younger readers5 star

Book about teenage girls, partying, drinking and murder of one of their own. No excessive graphic violence, sex or foul language. Just enough to make the story believable and keep a young person reading it.55

Secrets of Wildflower Island1 star

Possibly the worst book that I have ever read. I love reading and can enjoy almost anything but this was dreadful. Characters had no personality, had no redeeming qualities and not a single one behaved like any person would. Sheriff questioned minors without parents present, never mirandized anybody. Girl found dead body in room with head caved in, doesn’t tell anybody, then decides to take a nap. ??? Why? Wildflower Island seems to be populated with inbred morons. And what is it about mentioning each characters hair constantly? Made me wish a tsunami took out the whole island. I got this book from the free list and still feel I overpaid. 😕15

Secret of Wildflower island1 star

Very disjointed plot. Piper finds a dead body in one of the rooms she is supposed to clean. She yells down the stairs that someone needs to check the room and gets no response to her request. She shrugs it off and goes to take a nap. Really? There is never any mention again about the dead body after that. Another puzzling piece of life on the island is a lost boy who is ultimately found. It has absolutely nothing to do with the plot. Speaking of plot, Oscar, the father of the murdered boy abandoned Alex at a young age plus he physically abused him. He suddenly shows up and wants retribution for his sons murder. Really? I kept on checking my iPad to see how many more pages I had to endure. I could go on about the weak storytelling, but the review would be too long. Suffice it to say I am glad this was a free read. The old adage; you get what you pay for.15

Teen drama queen drivel2 star

Not worth the effort unless you are a 13 year old drama queen.25
