A new series from the author of the Moonshine Task Force Series!
Laurel Springs, AL is about to be hotter than a mid-August thunderstorm.
When the Moonshine Task Force is absorbed into a new entity, Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team (LSERT) new faces come to town, new love is born, old love is found again, and there’s a plethora of drama and romance happening all over the tri-county area. LSERT puts police, firefighters, nurses, doctors, K-9 handlers, and EMT’s all in harm’s way as they work to keep the area safe from any threat.
When emotions are high, passions ignite.
Come with me, back to Laurel Springs, in what's sure to be a wild ride!
For years I’ve wanted two things - to be a member of the Moonshine Task Force and to be the man Stella Kepler can’t live without.
One out of two isn’t bad, or so I tell myself. Being the only K-9 handler for The MTF presents its own share of obstacles, but me and Rambo? We make it work. Life is status quo, until I’m called in to help with what appears to be a hostage situation and Stella is right in the middle of it.
This is my one chance, and I’m not going to blow it.
When I’m stuck in an examination room holding a hurt woman and a man with a gun, I do the only thing I can. I sneak out, call 911 and hope help comes quickly. It does.
In the form of Ransom Thompson.
He and I have known each other since we were babies. Our mother’s are friends, our dad’s work together, and we’ve always been friends.
Only, the last few months I’ve started to notice things. How mature he is, how alpha he can be, the chiseled six-pack, and the abundance of ink spreading across his body.
When I offer to cook him dinner for saving me, neither one of us know how that one moment will change the course of the rest of our lives.
I loved this book of Ransom, Stella and of course Rambo along with all there family members. It made me laugh, made me cry and very happy. I definitely would recommend this book! It was fabulous. Great writing it was so hard to put down.55
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I would recommend it.45
Great story with good characters and great storyline. I could have done with a little less of the coarse language but overall a good read.45
I love reading second generation stories! This series starts with Moonshine Task Force so reading those stories first is almost a must! I highly recommend Laramie’s books!55
Ransom by Laramie Briscoe is the first book in her Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team series. This is the next generation awesomeness of the Moonshine Task Force series. So while readers of the the MTF books will get a kick out of the characters involvement in the LSERT series, LSERT is all about the new kids. Ransom is the story of Ransom Thompson and Stella Kepler and is heartfelt, emotional, angsty and wonderful. Ransom has been into Stella for as long as he can remember. She is his best friends older sister and she has never really taken the time to notice him over the years. Not in the way he wants her to. But all that is about to change. What blossoms between them in the heat of a dangerous moment is a result of years of knowing each other and it isn't the first time she's appreciated Ransom, his kindness, his body, and his heart in the past few months, but this will be the first time she decides to act on it. Oh the angst of finally requited love, the danger of dating a police officer, and the issues involved with keeping things secret just to be safe should things go wrong... I loved this book and can't wait to get more of this series and of Laurel Springs! Enjoy!55
The Laurel Springs Emergency Response Team is turning out to be as explosive as it’s parent series. This series is about the 2 generation (the kids) of the Moonshine Taskforce. The author has given us another well written storyline that will tear at your heartstrings and keep you in suspense as you fly through the pages. Kelsea has been in love with Nick as long as she can remember. But she has her doubts that he will ever take things beyond friendship. But it doesn’t keep her from wishing with all her heart. As for Nick, he learned at a young age not to show any emotions and you won’t get hurt, so no matter what he “wants” he knows he has to hold Kelsea at bay. One drunken night they both let their guard down. But in the light of day, while Kelsea is in heaven, Nick knows he’s messed up and not good enough for Kelsea, so he walks away. Can Kelsea convince Nick he’s worth it, that they are worth fighting for? Or will she finally be convinced they weren’t meant to be and move on. This is a very emotional, exciting, suspenseful romance that hold your heart captive. I Highly recommend Suppression and all the Laurel Springs books (Moonshine Task Force series & the Emergency Response Team series). 2 Thumbs Up 5 Amazing Stars!!!!55
This book is amazing!! I can’t wait for the next one!!55
Laramie Briscoe successfully stole my heart again! Gah! I swear no one writes heroes quite as perfectly as she does. Ransom is everything I’ve come to love from her men and more! All that magnificent, sexy officer goodness combined with major swoon and of course deep family roots full of characters I love made this book unputdownable for me! I’m talking I did not budge once after I started reading until I’d reached the end. I’m not sure I blinked. Ransom and Stella are best friends and have been their entire lives, but as they’ve both grown up Ransom has felt more than friendship for her. With Stella finally catching on to the fact her best friend is also deliciously sexy the sparks between them start to ignite. These two were both heartwarmingly sweet and so hot they set the pages on fire. That combination held me captivated start to finish.55
