Book Reviews

Not good...1 star

Incredibly sexist and inaccurate. Also the main character constantly contradicts herself and rambles on.15

This book portrays the BDSM in a horrible light.2 star

The book was incredibly wrong about the community, and incredibly stereotypical. Women were better before equal rights? There was no conversation before impact play, humiliation, or degradation. The book even skipped over the months the main characters were together. Just poof and done.25

Wasn’t too bad. With some of the reviews I thought it was going to be horrible but I’ve read a lot worse. Wouldn’t consider this a bdsm story though.35

Very badly written2 star

It’s as if a 16 year old wrote it.25

Not a good book if you’re a feminist1 star

Thought the author didn’t do a very good job of portraying the BDSM society. No diversity (everyone is rich and white) and the author clearly states early on in the novel that she subscribes to the alpha male misogynistic thinking: women had it easier before liberalism, as if that was a good way of living (being oppressed). Super sad because it looked really good.15

Couldn’t finish reading1 star

This reads exactly as if, just like the main female character, the author has no clue about the subject matter, read some online articles or watched some dvds and decided to go ahead and right the book. The dialogue was eye rolling. There are so many exclamation marks. I had to stop reading it.15

Unbelievable1 star

Such a sexist way to look at the BDSM community. Disgusting.15
