I met my dream girl.
That’s right. She’s stunning and the worst bartender I’ve ever seen.
I should have gone home and gone to sleep—dream girl or not. I had an early morning and the season was starting soon. But when she threatened me with boy band karaoke I couldn't help myself. I went. The stars aligned.
I have never felt more alive or wanted anyone more than I want her.
When it’s time for me to head on my annual pre-season boys trip, I barely let her go.
It’s been a week and I can’t stop thinking about her.
Except there she is. Right here at the Wildcat’s kickoff party.
And as luck would have it, my dream girl is the coach’s youngest daughter.
But everyone knows the coach’s daughter is off limits. Right?
Wildcat is a full-length sports romance with a hot-as-puck hero, the coach’s daughter, and an unfortunate case of mistaken identity.
The Wildcats are the youngest team in the NHL. On the ice, they’re cocky, determined, and ready to take the league by storm. Off the ice? They’re always up for a wild time.
Great read! Loved the story behind it all and of course the ending!55
It was a good read35
I loved this book! The storyline was great. It had me rooting for the characters the whole book!55
This was my first listen by Rebecca Jenshak. Loved Scarlett & Leo's hot story! I spent most of the book swooning everytime Leo called Scarlett "Dream Girl". Then add in a bunch of hockey players to the mix and I'm sold. Excellent narration by Desiree Ketchum & Aaron Shedlock.55
This audio does an amazing job at bringing the story to life! This is definitely a book that I enjoy listening to!55
Leo is a professional hockey player (say less) and randomly meets this fun flirty bartender, Scarlett, who challenges him to a night of boy band karaoke. He’s consumed her thoughts. He’s about to head off for the preseason get together and gets a big surprise when he walks in. Scarlett is the coaches daughter! This is a totally off limits relationship but they are so intensely drawn together. Scarlett is incredibly relatable as a FMC. She’s so down to earth and spunky and Leo is a total heartthrob. They journey these two take is just everything you want from a book and more! This book was so swoons your heart will be fully invested in it. The whole team dynamic has you craving more from this series. But these two alone just go so hard you’ll fall hells over head. This was one of my favorite sports romance and now I want to read up Rebecca’s entire backlist. The audio was phenomenal. I greatly enjoyed the narrators bringing the story to life. I didn’t feel like I needed to pause to read parts in the book. They brought the heat as well for these characters.55
This is my first book by Rebecca and I loved it. Scarlett and Leo meet one night and hit it off only for him not to contact her after their night together. Turns out she is the coaches daughter but he can’t fight how he feels about her and he will do whatever it takes to try and make up for his mistake. These two have great chemistry and Leo is one swoony hockey player. I love how Scarlett doesn’t have to worry about how Leo feels about her like she had in her past relationships. Desiree Ketchum and Aaron Shedlock did a great job narrating this book. Aaron brought all the swoons to Leo and Desiree was the perfect voice for Scarlett. I really enjoyed this book and I’m looking forward to more from Rebecca.45
Wildcat on Audio By Rebecca Jenshak Rate 4/5 Spice 2.5/5 I love a good sports romance and this book was such a cute book. This is a coach’s daughter hockey romance. The main character has gone through a bad breakup and is trying to find herself while the MC is a big time hockey star. Scarlett May be the coach’s daughter but she does not follow hockey and has no clue who Leo Lohan is. They meet and have a great night. Eventually finding out who the other is. She is not ready to date and she is his dream girl. This is a sweet safe read with cute banter and a HEA. The narrators were great and did a great job getting you into the story. Will definitely check out more books by this author:especially when I need a sweet story to cleanse that dark romance I binge.45
This fabulously entertaining sports romance novel swept me right in, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire book. The characters are relatable, easy to connect with and care about. I adored the two lead characters, Scarlett Miller and Leo Lohan, the secondary characters are pretty amazing too. Scarlett is back home in the states after living in London with her now ex-boyfriend Rhyse, a professional race car driver. For the sake of publicity and his image, they kept their relationship private, but she was tired of being his secret girlfriend and gave him the chance to go public, but he chose his career instead. She opted to never get involved with another athlete again. She worked some odd jobs, including waitressing, which she is not very good at. But trivia nights at the bar were busy, and they needed the extra hands. And that is where she met him, hot Leo, the two hit it off right from the start and spent a memorable and hot night together. He said he would call her but it has been almost a week and she has not heard from him. Leo could not get Scarlett out of his mind or his dreams, she did not know who he was, which was a delight because most recognize the Wildcat hockey players. He did plan on calling her, but it was a busy week for him and he kept putting it off. The coach had invited the team over to his house, like he does every year at the start of the season, and it surprised him to see his dream girl there, even more surprised to find out who she was, the coach daughter, a big no no. I loved how these two came about and everything that followed, it is a charming and beautifully plotted story with a perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and a steamy and swoon-worthy romance. Rebecca Jenshak, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Rebecca Jenshak could not have chosen a better cast to bring her characters and story to life. Aaron Shedlock and Desiree Ketchum are entertaining storytellers and versatile voice artists. There is a natural talent to them and I loved how they took each role, ran with it and made it their own. Shedlock played the Leo’s role with perfection, grasped every side of his personality including his swoon-worthy charm and lightheartedness, Ketchum did the same for Scarlett, playing her like the strong woman she is. You could hear how much heart these two put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance, and have you feeling every single one. Thank you for another fabulous listen, it is always a pleasure to listen to your performance.55
What a fun book. Leo, one of the Mavericks, a relatively new professional hockey team, meets Scarlett and they have a one night stand. It's unforgettable but Leo is just starting the season so he doesn't call or text her immediately (beside one text the day after). So, they start off as enemies, at least from Scarlett's eyes. I absolutely loved their relationship, especially as Leo tries to get back into Scarlett's good graces. His caring attitude towards Scarlett made my heart swoon (I mean, he got her coffee every morning! As a coffee addict, this is a priority and my husband does this as well and I feel so special because he always remembers). The conflict comes in as Scarlett deals with her past (her ex, a professional race car driver, refused to acknowledge her in public) and issues with the media, a typical issue in professional sports romances. Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I would take half a star off because I didn't like how either Scarlett or Leo acted during the conflict, which I felt was inconsistent with the way that the rest of the story went. But I spent most of the book smiling or swooning so you can't get better than that! I cannot wait to see who next from the Mavericks gets his HEA. There are so many likable characters in this series (although, maybe Ash please!!) I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook and it was narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Desiree Ketchum who were fantastic. I'm a huge fan of Aaron Shedlock and his beautifully smooth voice was perfect for Leo. Desiree Ketchum was also a fantastic narrator and both were paced well, were able to modulate their voices so perfectly for the multiple characters and drew me into the story.55
