Rosie Thompson is an eighteen-year-old girl with her whole life ahead of her. The Homecoming Dance is just one night away and she can already feel the weight of the crown upon her head. But when she leaves her home that Friday night, it's for the very last time. When her body is found in a park the next morning, a whole town is turned upside down and a family is torn apart.
Fifteen years later, Olivia still hasn't moved on from her sister's murder. Not only does she still see the ghost of her dead sister, she is pursuing a career studying the very monsters that destroyed Rosie and hundreds of other helpless victims. Olivia is desperate to find closure, but a new murder with connections to her past has reopened old wounds.
Nate Tucker is a successful Chicago detective. He also happens to be Olivia's best friend. Nate has been fascinated by the Thompson case since the first time Olivia mentioned her dead sister to him. When a dead girl shows up in the city under circumstances eerily similar to Rosie's murder, he is quick to make the connection.
Now, with stale evidence and fifteen-year-old memories to guide him, Nate has the chance to solve the current murder case, as well as the death of the Homecoming Queen that refuses to stop haunting the people she left behind.
Dark and haunting, Ring Around the Rosie is utterly suspenseful and surprising to the end.
from rolling them so much. This author writes science fiction. Her plot, her characters, her dialogue is so far out there that nothing is real or relatable. The “detective work “ is quite funny. I read only if you can suspend reality or you are an adolescent.25
Although I usually don’t like romance novels this one was just enough to keep it interesting. I do hate series though and I wanted them to get her sister’s killer which didn’t happen in this book. Still a good read though.45
Fun read, really liked the characters. And, the story really kept me turning pages.55
I really enjoyed the book. Kept my interest all through. Love the sister interaction . Now I need to find out how to buy the next installment!55
I’m definitely getting the next book. Great story45
I enjoyed this book up until the time I figured out that it was going to leave the main mystery unsolved. It’s necessary to buy the next book to find out who murdered the sister. I understand these books are free, but it’s a pet peeve of mine if they don’t at least wrap up the main plot line. So be forewarned if you don’t want to be left hanging.15
Enjoyed the story.55
Ring Around The Rosie was an amazing book. Extremely suspenseful and kept me reading until the very end. I could not put this book down until I finished it. Literally. Julian Scott does an amazing job at making this book thrilling and exciting. With mystery, murder, and just the right amount of humor, Ring Around The Rosie is definitely a book I will pick up and read again.55
Quick building plot and an ending that makes you want more.55
