Outstanding! This book should be a part of the curriculum in every school in America. No matter the color of one’s skin, or their financial wherewithal. Booker T. Washington led not by mere words, but through the consistency of his entire life, in using his hands, heart and mind. Clearly one of the greatest Americans ever.55

Up From Slavery by Booker T. Washington1 star

Although the book was free, there are considerable errors in the last chapter with respect to the figures that Dr. Washington provides regarding the progress of Tuskegee. Please note that I am am also following along with an audio-book which gives other numbers. I would double check this online version with a print version.15
